Simple habits for handling, storing and displaying your collection.
Start with clean, dry hands
Use a clean table and handle cards gently by the edges. Keep drinks, food and sticky surfaces away from the area. Avoid bending a card when removing it from a pack or sleeve.
Choose storage that fits
Use trading-card sleeves and suitable binder pockets. Do not force a card into a tight holder or overfill a pocket. For a rigid holder, sleeve the card first and insert it gently.
Keep light and moisture in mind
Store your collection somewhere dry, away from direct sunlight, radiators and places with large temperature changes. A shelf inside the home is usually a more practical choice than a damp garage or loft.
Give sealed products room
Support boxes from underneath and avoid stacking heavy items on soft packaging. Keep factory cases separate from loose boxes so you know exactly what you have.
Make a collection you can enjoy
Organise by set, Pokémon, type or favourite artwork. A simple checklist can help you spot duplicates and missing cards without repeatedly handling the whole collection.
